To achieve this, DESC performs benefit studies and process simulation studies.
Benefit Studies
These studies typically involve a few days at site to interview operations, process and instrumentation on how the plant is operated today. After collecting plant data a (statistical) analysis is performed on these data and recommendations to improve plant operations and potential benefits are identified and quantified. These studies normally serve as a basis for new investments.
Process Simulation Studies
DESC has process experience in multiple processes in the petrochemical industry and rigorous simulation experience with a variety of process simulators.
This knowledge is used to study a process in more detail through literature search, process simulation and verifying operational data. With this service additional process insight is given which will improve our customers understanding of the process.
